As a Registered Nurse working in intensive care (ICU) units for over 23 years, I became aware that many health issues remain unaddressed in the "mainstream" medical model.  Some health concerns, such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic sinusitis, insomnia, and the aftermath of stroke (CVA) are mostly treated in a symptomatic fashion instead of in a holistic manner that takes into account the entire person and their environment.  This realization sent me on an educational journey that culminated in a Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine and my current acupuncture and herbal practice. 

Acupuncture and other modalities of Chinese medicine offer a gentle, safe, and natural approach to healthcare that can be employed in a way that complements mainstream (Western or allopathic) medicine.
